Project Lightning

Virgin Media's Project Lightning program is expanding their network to more homes and businesses across the UK and Ireland. The program will see over £4 billion invested to develop a new networks so they can offer the connectivity people need now and for whatever comes next in the future. 

Project Lightning is giving more people the opportunity to enjoy Virgin's award-winning ultrafast services. This includes the UK’s fastest widely available broadband speeds through Virgin Fibre, and Virgin TV which gives people the TV they love, all brilliantly brought together.

Micron are a huge part of this project. We've been partnering with Virgin Media for a while now and been building their network across multiple cities.

The services we are providing include, Micro duct installation, Blowing fibre from the Headend to every cabinet. Fusion Splicing (Ribbon and Singular) all fibres optic cables (Underground and Overhead) and testing every circuit providing detailed reports and qualification of circuit.

This is a long on-going project, and we expect to be on this build for a very long time. 

While building Virgins Media’s network we've meet some great people, and they help push our work to the highest level to with the goal to provide great Fibre broadband for everyone to enjoy.
